Universally Flattering Styles for Men
1. I have yet to see a guy who doesn’t look amazing in a well-fitted black motorcycle jacket.
NOT the baggy kind with a collar like this guy below:
This is awful:

Leave the collar for button down shirts, and instead opt for a leather jacket with a psuedo collar like Robert Buckley below:
or Fergie’s hubby Josh Duhamel:
or Ryan Reynolds:
Here’s a Faux Leather Jacket for under 200 bucks.
2. Aviator sunglasses (not opaque)
Aviator Sunglasses are by far the hottest shades right now. Check out these celebrities:
If your aviator glasses are not opaque, you look more casual and less like a cop.
Also, AVOID shiny, mirrored shades like these:
I’m a big fan of gradient aviators like this on guys.
3. A well-fitted T-shirt over a white or grey long sleeved shirt
I don’t know why this look just does it for me every time. I think it accentuates a man’s arms and shoulders. It makes me think of a jock who isn’t trying hard to get a woman’s attention. So hot.
Something like this underneath would work.
4. The staple well-fitted t-shirt with jeans
Guys, the key here is FIT. If it’s too loose, it loses it’s appeal completely. The sleeves have to be short enough to see part of your bicep like this:
If the sleeves are puffing out and not fitted to your arm, it’s too big! If it looks like this, it’s too big!
Also notice how the shirt Josh Duhamel is wearing also is well fitted at the chest. Ill fitting, baggy clothes are a big turn off! Also, to get a better fitting shirt, usually the fabric is a little silkier and thinner than normal run of the mill t-shirts. Here is a great example.
5. A well-tailored suit
I have yet to meet a woman who isn’t wowed by a man wearing a well-fitted suit. This one has the most “WOW” factor of all these I’ve mentioned.
Check these out:
This suit has great reviews and is pretty cheap!
6. A well-fitted grandpa cardigan
Be careful with this one. As with all the others, it has to be well-fitted or it will look frumpy.
Here’s a good example:
Here’s one. Best if worn with a tie underneath
7. A well-fitted button down shirt with pockets on the chest
You must must MUST roll it up 3/4th like Ryan Reynolds does below. This is a similar shirt.
Men ALWAYS look better wearing their sleeves 3/4th.
It just looks silly when a guy wears a button down long sleeve shirt and doesn’t roll up the sleeves like this guy:
Maybe it’s a psychological thing. When a man has his shirt rolled up it looks like he’s ready to work and can get his hands dirty? I don’t know what it is exactly. I just know it works.
It’s really in the details. Compare what Ryan Reynolds is wearing (long sleeved shirt rolled up to 3/4th) with this black button down shirt (short sleeve) The sleeves make all the difference! Short sleeved button down shirts usually look too loose in the sleeve area:(
Talking about men’s style, this SNL short is laugh out loud hilarious! Thanks Allan!
