He’s right on!
Here’s the full speech! They cut out the end on the clip above!
Mac MacGuff: Look, in my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person is still going to think the sun shines out your ass. That’s the kind of person that’s worth sticking with.

Okay, besides the fact that I loved the movie… I don’t know how I missed the depth of knowledge from that scene. He was definately right on.. but I’d like to add that even if someone loves you the way you are, they should also have a desire to see you become a ‘better person’ and not leave you ‘exactly the way you are’. Great article, thnx for the Juno clip, lol

As long as you don’t feel that it is your job to change that person to be better. As long as you leave that to the Holy Spirit and prayer… I agree!

I love the movie. It teaches the adolescents all the possibilities for being too aggressive about the thing called “love”. That’s the moral lesson of the movie. Obey your parents all the time for they know what’s best for you.
