How certain seemingly innocent acts mean certain things?

Like this…

When a guy asks if he can buy you a drink, he’s really saying, “I’d like to buy you a drink in exchange for the hope that one day (maybe tonight?) I can see you naked.”

Why do people still try to fight the idea that men and women have different roles in relationships?

Men get “lucky.” Women “give it up.”

See the difference? It is the woman who holds the power to give sex or to not give sex. I’ve had a friend tell me that having sex with a guy early makes her feel well, powerless. I wonder, in the name of gaining sexual freedom and liberation, in an attempt to be equal to men in dating roles, are women sacrificing power for freedom?

You’ll never hear a guy having this conversation:

“I don’t know what happened. I think I messed it up because we had sex too early. I should have waited. Everything was going perfect. I really felt an emotional connection. But there we were just sharing our feelings and cuddling and then one thing led to the next… Now she doesn’t want to see me anymore!”

Ahh, just some random thoughts on hump day.
