I imagine there’s not a magic number, but I think that both parties need to feel like they are not on some kind of “sex” diet. Both parties should feel they can have it whenever they want!

Here are some statistics Mark Driscoll found on sex! (taken from this sermon transcript)

“The average married couple is intimate two to three times a week and the average married man takes care of himself secretly, privately on the side usually with the accompaniment of pornography three to four times a week. So what the means is: even in marriage the average man is living a secret life more often than when he is with his wife. So, statistically, that would seem to indicate that the average couple should probably be together about every day.”

EVERY DAY?

I think that’s great:) I think the most important thing is that it needs to be a regular thing, not some periodic happening, and both partners should never deny or reject each other:

1 Cor 7:3 The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5 Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
