Hiatus
I’m in Washington my dears. It is so gorgeous here– and seeing my high school sweetheart after 12 years, Oh it’s all so surreal. I’ll be back next week on Wednesday with my regular posts, but I’m taking a break to just soak it all in. And boy, it is sooo good. The hug at the airport was the most perfect hug ever. All my nerves melted away right then and there, and all I could think about I couldn’t think at all. He just came up to me and without any hesitation just initiated the longest hug ever. And I find myself saying “ever” a whole lot because I can’t conjure up any other words to describe the intensity of it all. It’s all together exhilarating and exciting– because it’s all so new…. Yet it’s comfortable— like the feeling of wrapping yourself in a hot towel straight from the dryer— because I remember him. I remember us. (And just so you know daddy, {my dad reads this blog! Yikes!} the whole hot towel analogy is JUST an analogy. He wouldn’t let me do anything I’d regret, and I have my boundaries!) This whole experience has left me feeling speechless and breathless and basically crazy content.

Hey Mrs. Hiatus, don’t forget to breathe… I love your site, you have SO much worthwhile content on here…and thanks for the post and tribute! I posted comments about the movie The Notebook and why I didn’t like it so much..I know, one of your favorites! Don’t forget to return to Texas now…if only for a short time.
